Night Auditor (NOC 64314)

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Perform nightly audit of hotel financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of guest accounts.

• Balance and reconcile all revenue activities, including room charges, food and beverage sales, and other hotel services.

• Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment

• Run all Night Audit reports and reports any discrepancies to Front Office Manager, General Manager and Accounting office.

• Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, handling any inquiries or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.

• Ensure the security and safety of the hotel during the night shift, conducting regular property checks.

• Process and verify credit card transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and effectively.

• Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments

• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby.

• Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Employment Qualifications and Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school

• Minimum 2 years of experience in front desk operations or a combination of study and experience

• Rooms Forecasting and/or Budgeting an asset

• Understanding of Yield and Revenue Management an asset

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Able to work overnight shifts including those on weekends and holidays
